Anti Oxidants at it again...

I was asked again and again on the topic of Free Radical Damage ..but the scientific explanation of free radical it is rather wordy ...  So here goes :
"an unstable molecule with an unpaired electron on the outer shell which will in turn impact cellular function  and attack the nearest stable molecule by "stealing" its electron. When a molecule loses its electron, it becomes a free radical itself thus beginning a chain reaction. Once the process cascade, it will result in the disruption of a living cell.. Free Radical normally arise during metabolism process "

but I'd just keep it simple from now on.. to memorize this, takes ages and I myself had tried to not be overly technical whenever I could.  OR just watch the video above.. pfft.

Dr Douglas Mizi in his talk held in Singapore (which I attended), has put it in simpler sentences :

Free Radicals are chemicals produced by oxygen that could speed up ageing.

Come to think of it ,THIS IS ALL IT IS IN TERMS OF EXPLANATION as far as nutrition, naturopathy,  is concerned

Anyway,  I have two things that I would recommend people. Depending on the case history and preference (just in case if they can swallow tablets then I have the powder ones).

This is what you can do about it : Natural Anti Oxidants

1. Dr PPARs

Dr PPARs contains one of the highest known sources of Chlorophyll which also contains rare calcium spirulan effective for its antibacterial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory benefits. Research and decades of clinical experience have shown that chlorophyll can be:

1) a very effective tool to help the body heal wounds and lesions
2) assist the body in excreting highly carcinogenic toxins
3) a highly effective internal and external odor neutralizer and
4) a good source of highly bioavailable (absorbable) nutrition, including antioxidants and vitamins, with vitamin K in particular. Green pigment masking 6 other colored anitoxidants like alpha-beta carotenoids.

I have been prescribing them too at my clinic and found the results of the Free Radical Tests (via urine)  on patients to be quite remarkable. Energy levels had also been improved for the better.

2. OPC-3

Isotonix OPC-3® is an isotonic-capable food supplement that is made from a combination of bilberry, grape seed, red wine and pine bark extracts, and citrus extract bioflavonoids, all found to be powerful antioxidants. Oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs) are bioflavonoids (complex organic plant compounds) found in fruits, vegetables and certain tree barks that provide exceptional nutritional benefits to the human body. Studies have shown OPCs to be up to 20 times more powerful than vitamin C and 50 times more powerful than vitamin E in neutralizing free radicals. Isotonix OPC-3 contains the only isotonic form of Pycnogenol® in the world. Pycnogenol is a natural plant extract from the bark of the French maritime pine tree and the most clinically researched and potent bioflavonoid.* Isotonic, which means “same pressure,” bears the same chemical resemblance of the body’s blood, plasma and tears. All fluids in the body have a certain concentration, referred to as osmotic pressure. The body’s common osmotic pressure, which is isotonic, allows a consistent maintenance of body tissues. In order for a substance to be absorbed and used in the body’s metabolism, it must be transported in an isotonic state. Isotonix® dietary supplements are delivered in an isotonic solution. This means that the body has less work to do to in obtaining maximum absorption. The isotonic state of the suspension allows nutrients to pass directly into the small intestine and be rapidly absorbed into the bloodstream. With Isotonix products, little nutritive value is lost, making the absorption of nutrients highly efficient while delivering maximum results.
